FREDERICK, MD – St. John Properties, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate development and management company with more than 24 million square feet of commercial space, has promoted Danny Foit to Director of Leasing for their Virginia and Central Maryland portfolio. Formerly Leasing Representative, Foit joined the company in 2018 and has more than 12 years of diversified commercial real estate experience.

In his new role, Foit will manage marketing and leasing activities for the company’s portfolio of 10 business communities comprising more than three million square feet of office, flex/R&D, retail, and warehouse space in Frederick County, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Responsibilities include prospecting for new companies and engaging with existing tenants to address their commercial real estate requirements and provide timely space solutions. Foit will also strengthen existing and form new relationships in the commercial brokerage community and collaborate with the company’s vertically-integrated team of construction, interior design, marketing, and property management professionals.

Foit’s promotion is on pace with St. John Properties’ continued speculative development activity in Central Maryland and Northern Virginia, highlighted by ground-up construction underway at Arcadia Business Park and EastPark in Frederick, Maryland and Arcola Center and Ashburn Crossing in Loudoun County, Virginia. This pipeline is being developed in response to robust demand of end-users looking to enter or expand in the local submarkets and is consistent with the company’s mission to speculatively develop more than one million square feet of space nationwide each year.

Foit has over 13 years professional experience and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is also an active member of NAIOP Northern Virginia.
