Local pediatric dental group to open fourth location in Dundalk

Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group has signed a lease to expand to North Point Crossing, marking its fourth location in the region.
The practice will open in about 2,800-square-feet in the Dundalk retail center next to the walk-in Express Care Urgent Care Center off North Point Boulevard. St. John Properties owns the 8,125-square-foot center that is now 100% leased.
“Among the things we like best about the space is that we are able to start fresh with a blank canvas and create the exact indoor environment that best represents our dentistry mission,” said Hakan Koymen, the group’s founder and one of eight pediatric dentists on staff. “Our continued and consistent growth over the past 15 years has necessitated expansion into the Essex and Dundalk area. It is a strategic move that will reduce travel times for certain patients now visiting our Perry Hall office.”
Koymen said Chesapeake Pediatric Dental seeks to provide dental care to youth in underserved areas in Greater Baltimore. The group has three other practices in Abingdon, Hanover and Perry Hall.
“By interacting with young children, we are able to educate them about the importance of proper nutrition to achieve not only good oral health, but overall health,” he said, of the mission of the 15-year-old business.
The clinic will open at 4009 North Point Blvd. in early 2022. It will be staffed by two pediatric dentists and support staff.
St. John’s Eric Llewellyn represented the landlord and Charles Peacock of United Development Realty represented Chesapeake Pediatric Dental in the deal.
