Coldwell Banker Realty has opened a residential real estate office in Greenleigh, bringing about new 60 brokers to eastern Baltimore County.

The move marks the second residential brokerage to lease space at the 1,000-acre Middle River development off Interstate 95 and Route 43 near White Marsh.

Virginia-based Samson Properties inked a deal for 10,000 square feet of space at 6211 Greenleigh Ave. in January and will soon bring 300 new full and part-time brokers to a four-story office tower at 6211 Greenleigh Ave.

The Coldwell Banker deal set in motion the January opening of the new offices at 11531 Wakefield St., said Bill Holzman, a retail leasing vice president at St. John Properties, a majority partner in Greenleigh. The site is part of a single-story retail pad developed by St. John over the past year.

Holzman said brokers are likely going to make some of the residential deals planned for 500 acres at the mixed-use community. Those plans call for more than 1,900 new residential units, including single-family homes, townhomes and multifamily units.

“This highly visible location along White Marsh Boulevard will be extremely convenient for clients,” said Holzman, who brokered the Coldwell Banker deal for St. John. Robin Maisel, an associate broker for Coldwell Banker Commercial, represented Coldwell Banker.

Greenleigh first broke ground in 2017. When built out, it will also have about 2.5 million square feet of commercial, retail and hospitality space in addition to the residential development.

Existing tenants at Greenleigh include tool maker Stanley Black & Decker Inc., Michael’s Café Raw Bar & Grill, Potomac Pizza Grill, Dunkin’ Donuts and Royal Farms. A 120-key Marriott SpringHill Suites hotel opened there in 2018.
