PLEASANT GROVE, UT – St. John Properties, Inc., a vertically-integrated commercial real estate development and management company, has promoted Mark Cathemer to Vice President, Construction in the Utah Regional Office. Formerly Assistant Vice President, Construction, Cathemer joined the company in 2016 and brings nearly 30 years of construction management experience to his new role.

Cathemer oversees all ground-up development and construction activities for the company’s portfolio of business communities located in Marriott-Slaterville, Pleasant Grove, Saratoga Springs, and Taylorsville, Utah. He is responsible for managing all construction schedules and budgets, and interfacing with the team of subcontractors, third-party engineers, and architects involved in the construction of new buildings. Since entering Utah in 2014, the company has developed more than 1.2 million square feet of space across four business communities, and is currently developing nine buildings  comprising more than 175,000 square feet and 28 acres of flex/R&D and retail space.    

Cathemer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Arizona State University, and is credentialed as a LEED AP BD+C (Building Design + Construction) professional, demonstrating formal expertise in sustainable design and construction management.
