St. John Properties Promotes Charlton Kilgore to Senior Project Manager for Base Building Construction

ASHBURN, VA (February 17, 2022) – St. John Properties, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate development, management and investment company, has announced the promotion of Charlton Kilgore to Senior Project Manager for Base Building Construction for the Virginia and Central Maryland Division. Kilgore has worked with the company since 2019.

In his expanded role, Kilgore will lead the Base Building Construction team including day-to-day management of ground-up construction activities for the company’s commercial office, flex/R&D, retail, and industrial/warehouse portfolio located throughout the Northern Virginia and Central Maryland region. This includes the oversight of all construction schedules and budgets as well as managing  subcontractors, project managers, superintendents, engineers and architects.

St. John Properties intends to speculatively construct 17 buildings, comprising nearly one million square feet of space in the Northern Virginia and Central Maryland region over the next two years. The company recently broke ground on three flex/R&D/office buildings comprising more than 135,000 square feet of space at Ashburn Crossing, a 350,000 square foot business community in Loudoun County, Virginia. It also plans to initiate construction this year on the last two flex/R&D/office buildings at Riverside Tech Park, a 14-building, 750,000 square foot business community in Frederick, Maryland.

Kilgore has more than 12 years of commercial real estate and construction experience. In addition to his position with Advanced Project Management, he spent nearly eight years working with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as Project Manager where he managed commercial construction projects throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park and also studied at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
