Real estate development and management company active in 22 states will move 225 employees from Greenbelt to Howard County early next year

BALTIMORE, MD – Bozzuto has signed a 57,837-square-foot lease at Maple Lawn, the 605-acre mixed-use community in Howard County developed by Greenebaum Enterprises and St. John Properties, Inc. Bozzuto is a diversified real estate development, management and construction company operating in 22 states across the US. The company will relocate its corporate headquarters including 225 employees from Greenbelt to 8160 Maple Lawn Boulevard in Fulton during the first quarter of 2027. St. John Properties Vice President of Leasing Bill Jautze represented the landlord, and David Fields and Charlie Carroccio of CBRE and Lou Christopher of Stream Realty represented the tenant in this transaction.

Founded in 1988, Bozzuto manages 150,000 apartments, employs nearly 5,000 people and has approximately $3.5 billion in combined construction and development pipelines. Bozzuto also operates Wye River Insurance, a risk advisory and insurance brokerage that draws on deep expertise in multifamily development, construction and asset management to serve clients across commercial real estate. Bozzuto will occupy two and one-half floors of the four-story, 100,000-square-foot Class ‘A’ office building and relocate its construction, development, administrative, corporate and management teams to the new space. The company will also maintain its Greenbelt office as a hub for corporate services.

Maple Lawn, a partnership between master developer Greenebaum Enterprises and St. John Properties, includes more than 1,300 homes, over 1.8 million square feet of commercial space, and is supported by more than 215,000 square feet of retail amenities. The community, situated near the intersection of MD Route 29 and Johns Hopkins Road, is 20 miles from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. More than 170,000 people reside within a 5-mile radius of the mixed-use community, including more than 64,000 households with an average annual income exceeding $180,000.

The move builds on recent leasing momentum at Maple Lawn, where Ciena Corporation, a leading network technology company, opened a new 28,132-square-foot corporate office last month.
