Baltimore (October 14, 2014) — Diners in Glen Burnie will be able to scarf down 10-ounce meatballs on the go when a new fast-casual restaurant opens in Quarterfield Center next year.
When Meatballs, Etc. opens in early 2015 near the intersection of Route 100 and Interstate 97, the restaurant will serve traditional Italian fare, sandwiches, build-your-own salads and, of course, meatballs.
Customers will be able to pick and choose from four meatball varieties and five sauces to eat on a sub roll, over a chopped salad or with a pasta bowl. The four meatball varieties are classic, turkey, lamb or the “signature” 10-ounce meatball. The sauce selection includes tomato, Arrabiata, alfredo, rose and marsala.
Meatballs, Etc. will also serve entrees including baked ziti, pasta and meat sauce, chicken marsala and salads.
The 2,132-square-foot eatery is part of the Monte Restaurant Group, which operates 10 restaurants including Squisito Pizza & Pasta, Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar and Four Seasons Grille.
St. John Properties negotiated the lease at Quarterfield Center, a 180,000-square-foot office and retail complex.
“Quarterfield Center was an easy choice for us, in part based on the immediate success we experienced with our Squisito Pizza & Pasta that is located within close proximity,” said Michele DiMeo, chief operations officer for Monte Restaurant Group. “We envision strong lunchtime activity, catering from the local businesses and take-home dinners for families living hectic lifestyles.”
DiMeo said she plans to open three additional Meatball Etc. locations in Central Maryland within the next year.
