BALTIMORE, MD – St. John Properties, Inc., a Baltimore-based commercial real estate development and management company with a national portfolio valued at more than $5 billion, has promoted Sean Harkins to Sustainability Manager. Formerly Assistant Project Manager, Harkins has more than nine years of experience in the environmental sustainability industry and has been with the company since 2018.

Harkins will continue to evaluate, devise, and implement innovative, sustainable business initiates that positively impact the company’s national real estate portfolio, its clients, and their employees. His responsibilities include executing procedures that assure future projects earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, overseeing strategies that address the improvement of sustainable practices employed by St. John Properties, and forming policies that continue to position the company as a leader in the green and sustainable building industry.

Prior to joining St. John Properties, Harkins was an Environmental Scientist for Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Technology from the University of Maryland, College Park.
