RALEIGH, NC – St. John Properties, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate development and management company, has promoted Gavin Mauzy to Director of Construction in the Raleigh Regional Office. Mauzy joined St. John Properties in 2021, working as a Project Manager in the firm’s in-house Interior Construction division within the Virginia & Central Maryland office, before relocating to North Carolina in 2024. He brings nearly seven years of real estate and construction management experience to his new role.

Mauzy will oversee the company’s in-house construction division including oversight of ground-up construction management activities and the selection of third-party subcontractors for all new buildings developed by St. John Properties in the greater Raleigh area. This includes interacting with project managers, subcontractors, and design vendors, as well as establishing and maintaining budgets for each construction project. The company is currently developing two projects within the Triangle area, Wake Forest Exchange and Youngsville Business Park. The company recently delivered its first flex/R&D and retail buildings at Wake Forest Exchange, a 30-acre mixed-use business community in Wake Forest. Concurrently, St. John Properties is developing Youngsville Business Park, a 25-acre project in Youngsville that will include nearly 120,000 square feet of commercial flex/R&D space.

Mauzy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, and completed two civil engineering co-ops with the West Virginia Department of Highways.
