BALTIMORE, MD (October 22, 2025) – St. John Properties’ Vice President of Sustainability Ryan Schwabenbauer has been named a 2025 LEED Fellow by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). Schwabenbaueris among 23 professionals who represent exceptional practitioners and leaders within the green building community and have demonstrated mastery of the technical application of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system.

Since initiating its LEED program in 2009, St. John Properties has developed more than 135 buildings totaling over 7.7 million square feet of LEED certified space across the country, and is ranked within the top five developers of LEED certified buildings nationwide by the U.S. Green Building Council. Last year, the company earned certifications for 27 buildings, and announced the roll out of a national solar strategy.

LEED Fellow candidates are nominated by their peers and undergo an extensive review by a committee comprising of established LEED Fellows and are approved by the GBCI Board of Directors. Candidates must demonstrate expert-level technical proficiency as well as exceptional impact in education and mentoring, leadership, commitment and service, and advocacy over a minimum of 10 years as a LEED professional.
