MIE Properties-LA Signs Five New Retail Leases within Barringer Foreman Technology Park
GONZALES, LA (October 17, 2011) – MIE Properties-LA has announced the signing of five new retail leases totaling 7,400 square feet of space at Barringer Crossing, the 84,000 square foot retail center component of Barringer Foreman Technology Park. The center, which is now 80% leased and located at 14111 Airline Highway, was constructed to serve as the retail amenity for tenants within the 225,000 square foot business community in Baton Rouge, LA.
The new retailers that are now operational at Barringer Crossing include Subway (1,200 square feet), Mr. Taco, a Mexican taqueria (1,200 square feet) and Tips 2 Toes, a full-service women’s nail salon (1,200 square feet). Wings of Glory (1,800 square feet) a fast-casual restaurant that will specialize in wings and an assortment of lunch and dinner menu options, is expected to become operational early next year. Heaux Jeaux (2,000 square feet), which is being positioned as an upscale bar, is targeting a January or February 2011 opening.
Approximately four retail spaces, comprising less than 5,000 square feet of space, as well as 7,250 square feet of office space, still remain available for lease at Barringer Crossing. Barringer Foreman Technology Park, which features four separate office buildings, is located between Interstates 10 and 12 and is convenient to East Baton Rouge, Ascension and Livingston parishes.
