Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Signs Lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 7,755 Square Feet of Space in Bowie

BOWIE, MD (August 15, 2011) – Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 7,755 square feet of space within 17001 Science Drive, a 30,450 square foot building located at Maryland Science and Technology Center @ Melford in Bowie, Maryland. The health care provider member of Johns Hopkins Medicine is expected to take occupancy of the space in late November. Sean Doordan of St. John Properties represented the landlord in this transaction and the tenant was represented by Richard Fields of Manekin, LLC and Liz Tarran-Jones, formerly of Manekin.

17001 Science Drive is a single-story building located in St. John Properties’ 466-acre Maryland Science and Technology Center @ Melford project, which is situated at the intersection of US Route 50 and MD Route 3/301 in Prince George’s County. The park is configured to support 3.2 million square feet of Class “A” office, research and development, medical and retail space, with Phase One including more than 750,000 square feet of office space. With the new Johns Hopkins Community Physicians lease, the Melford park now has more than 55,000 square feet of medical office space.

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians offers a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services. This site will open with family practice, pediatrics and sports medicine services.
