Five Tenants Combine for More Than 187 Years of Consecutive Occupancy at Timonium Business Center

BALTIMORE, MD (November 3, 2015) – Edward St. John, Chairman and Founder of St. John Properties, Inc., poses with representatives of five clients who represent a combined 187 years of consecutive occupancy at Timonium Business Center, a 189,000 square foot R&D/flex office building located at 2125-2240 Greenspring Drive in Baltimore County. The companies include Kitchen Distributors of Maryland (client since 1973), Mx4 Electronics (1976), Carroll’s Carry Out (1979), Taylor Electric Supply Company (1980) and Tuxedo House (1980). Timonium Business Center is located adjacent to Timonium Race Track, directly off the Timonium Road exit of Interstate 83.

St. John Properties spotlighted these companies in a recent ceremony that included a six-foot long cake representing Timonium Business Center, complete with a replica of each client’s storefront.

“Considering that the average commercial real estate lease is approximately five years, seeing landlord-client relationships remain strong after 35 to 40 years or more is highly exceptional,” said Richard Williamson, Senior Vice President, Leasing for St. John Properties. “Each of these companies has demonstrated the ability to successfully operate their business model over an extended period, while also maintaining a real estate asset that substantially contributes to the success of the company. These and other clients have given Timonium Business Center tremendous stability.”

“Years ago we noted the migration of our customer base from Baltimore City and Towson to the northern section of Baltimore County, stretching to the Pennsylvania line,” said Scott Forman, President and owner of Tuxedo House, which leases 6000 square feet of space at Timonium Business Center. “We had the foresight to move to Timonium and, due in large part to this central location, have sustained and grown our customer base. St. John Properties has been a tremendous partner over the decades.”
