Brooke Harlander Named to The Daily Record’s “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” List

BALTIMORE, MD (April 1, 2021) – Brooke Harlander, Partner-in-Training for St. John Properties, Inc., a Baltimore-based commercial real estate and investment company, has earned placement in The Daily Record’s annual “Maryland Top 100 Women” list as compiled by the daily business publication. Initiated in 1996, the program recognizes high-achieving Maryland women who are making an impact through their leadership, community service and mentoring activities. Winners are selected by past Top 100 Women and business leaders and three-time winners are inducted into the Circle of Excellence.

Ms. Harlander joined St. John Properties as a Retail Leasing Representative in 2016 and, two years later, entered the company’s Partner-in-Training (PIT) program. The four-year PIT program provides hands-on training in every discipline of St. John Properties’ in-house commercial real estate process, including development, construction, marketing, leasing, tenant improvements and property management. Upon completion, professionals open a new St. John Properties regional office in a new target growth market.

More than 500 nominations are typically received by The Daily Record annually, and approximately 1,500 women have been recognized since the award’s inception. Ms. Harlander is the only commercial real estate professional to be included in the 2021 list.

She has more than nine years of business and commercial real estate experience primarily in development and leasing. Ms. Harlander volunteers with numerous community-based organizations including Reading Partners, where she tutors, as well as, serves on the Board of Advisors, and she is also a student coach for Bridges Baltimore. Ms. Harlander participates and has leadership roles in business organizations as well. She is Co-Chair of the Young Leaders Partnership Forum for the Urban Land Institute and is a member of the NAIOP Maryland Developing Leaders.

Ms. Harlander earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and American Civilization from Towson University, and a Master’s degree in Real Estate and Infrastructure from The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. She serves on the Business Leadership Society at Carey Business School, and was Vice President for Baltimore Real Estate Alumni.
