BALTIMORE, MD – St. John Properties, Inc. a Baltimore-based, vertically-integrated commercial real estate development and investment company has promoted Cindy Thayer to Senior Vice President, Controller. Thayer, who has more than 34 years of business and financial experience, joined the company in 2009 and formerly served as Vice President, Controller.

In her continuing role with St. John Properties, Thayer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s in-house accounting and information technology departments. Her responsibilities include establishing financial objectives in collaboration with the executive team, developing and monitoring budgets, and ensuring the timely reporting of financial and cash management activities. Thayer will also continue to provide input on and assist with the implementation of new processes and protocols designed to improve efficiency and scale the company’s accounting operations across its 16 offices.

In 2009, Thayer began her career with St. John Properties as Assistant Controller, and has been successively promoted to; Controller, Assistant Vice President, and Vice President prior to this latest promotion. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland, and is a longstanding member of the Maryland Association of CPAs.
