St. John Properties Signs Three Leases Comprising More Than 6,000 Square Feet of Space at The GATE at APG
BALTIMORE, MD (February 28, 2013) – St. John Properties, Inc. has announced signing three new leases comprising more than 6,000 square feet of space within The Government and Technology Enterprise (The GATE) project, a 416-acre business community located inside Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Harford County. Mission1st, TeleCommunications Systems and ViaSat are the latest companies to sign leases at The GATE, with each expecting to be operational at the park by second quarter.
Mission1st signed a lease at 6180 Guardian Gateway, a single-story, 29,400 square foot building that is 81% leased. Founded in 2003, Mission1st is a minority woman-owned small business that delivers program management, mission operations, system engineering and technical assistance to a worldwide client base.
Telecommunications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSYS) signed a lease at 6210 Guardian Gateway, a three-story, 75,000 square foot office building that is 76% leased. The company provides highly reliable and secure mobile communication technology, including text messaging, commercial location and deployable wireless communications. Headquartered in Annapolis, TCS is at the forefront of new mobile cloud computing services providing wireless applications for navigation, asset tracking, social applications and telematics.
ViaSat (NASDAQ:VSAT) signed a lease at 6165 Guardian Gateway, a single-story, 51,120 square foot office building that is 85% leased. ViaSat is an innovator in satellite and other wireless networking systems and services, based in Carlsbad, California. The company delivers fast, secure communications, Internet and network access to virtually any location for consumers, governments, enterprise and the military. David Fritz of NAI KLNB represented the tenant in this transaction.

The project is the central location for contractors and agencies that support APG with tenants including The Boeing Company, CACI, General Dynamics, CSC, Raytheon, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), DSCI and Lockheed Martin.
