BALTIMORE, MD (August 27, 2009) – Wawa, Inc. has announced plans to open a 6500 square foot free-standing location on August 28 at Windsor Office Park, a 10-acre mixed-use business community developed by St. John Properties, Inc. in Baltimore County. This represents the 16th Wawa convenience store operated in the central Maryland region by the Pennsylvania-based company that is recognized for its hot breakfast sandwiches, freshly brewed coffee and built-to-order hoagies. Approximately 50 part-time and full-time workers will be employed at this newest Wawa.

Windsor Office Park, located at the intersection of Rolling Road and Windsor Boulevard, features approximately 65,000 square feet of office space and nearly 12,000 square feet of retail space. It is located near the Social Security Administration’s main headquarters, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and a number of residential communities that line Rolling Road in Woodlawn.

Wawa, which operates convenient store locations throughout the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia region, is a combination food market/gas station that offers a range of beverage and fresh food options including salads, fruit and Wawa-brand juices and teas. All of its stores are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hopkins & Wayson was the general contractor.
