St. John Properties Signs Three Leases, Totaling 10,000 Square Feet of Space, at Ashburn Technology Park

ASHBURN, VA (March 9, 2009) – St. John Properties, Inc., one of the Mid Atlantic region’s largest and most successful privately-held commercial real estate firms, has announced the signing of three new leases – totaling 10,000 square feet of space — at Ashburn Technology Park, an 84-acre business community positioned near Washington Dulles International Airport. Upon final build-out, the Park, which is located off Waxpool Road (VA Route 625) and the Dulles Greenway, will offer more than 650,000 square feet of research and development and office space.

The newest tenants are Volkswagen (6000 square feet of space), which will use the space as an educational center for local area dealers; Brimtek Technologies (2760 square feet of space); a defense contractor; and Surgical Imaging (1300 square feet of space), a distributor of medical technology equipment. Tony Russo of CB Richard Ellis represented Volkswagen and Kevin Goeller represented Brimtek Technologies in these lease transactions, while Norm Corkhill of St. John Properties represented the landlord in all three negotiations.

Ashburn Technology Park, located approximately 25 miles from downtown Washington, D.C., consists of six research and development/office buildings comprising more than 340,000 square feet of space. Each of the buildings offers tenant spaces that are 30 feet wide with 16 foot high ceilings, with dock or drive-in rear loading options. Free surface parking is available at the buildings.
