St. John Properties Appoints Matt Lenihan to Lead Greater Baltimore-Area Leasing Team
BALTIMORE, MD (October 27, 2021) – Matt Lenihan, Vice President of Leasing for St. John Properties, Inc. has been appointed to lead the company’s Baltimore area leasing team. Lenihan, who has worked for the Baltimore-based full-service commercial real estate development and investment company since 2001, will oversee a team of five full-time professionals with responsibilities for more than 15 million square of commercial office, flex/R&D and warehouse space. He began his career with St. John Properties more than 20 years ago.
Lenihan’s new role includes managing the in-house leasing team in identifying companies and groups seeking new or expanded office, industrial/warehouse and flex/R&D space to fit within the St. John Properties commercial real estate portfolio in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Prince George’s and St. Mary’s Counties, as well as Baltimore City. He will also guide the negotiation of new leases and lease renewals as well as the forming and strengthening of relationships with commercial real estate brokerage professionals.
Sean Doordan, Executive Vice President of Leasing & Acquisitions for St. John Properties formerly held the role, and will remain actively involved in the company’s leasing, acquisitions, interior design and marketing strategies.
Lenihan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Masters of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland at College Park. He serves on the Board of Directors for Unified Community Connections and the Army Alliance, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Baltimore Museum of Industry. He is also a member of NAIOP Maryland, the statewide trade association representing the interests of commercial real estate owners and investors.
