Information technology company serving the medical and healthcare industries signs 10,567 square foot lease with St. John Properties and will move from Anne Arundel County this fall

BALTIMORE, MD (June 15, 2021) – Peake Technology Partners, a healthcare technology company presently located in Anne Arundel County, has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 10,567 square feet of space within Melford Town Center and plans to relocate approximately 35 employees to Prince George’s County this fall. The group also expects to hire an additional 15 employees upon its move to the 466-acre mixed-use community, situated at the intersection of US Route 50 and MD Route 3/301 in Bowie. Peake Technology Partners provides information technology support to privately-owned medical systems including IT operations, security risk assessments, providing HIPPA-compliant telephone systems, private cloud solutions, hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology and telemedicine services.

“The dramatic increase in remote work models, higher use of healthcare and medical providers during the pandemic, and the heightened emphasis on the utilization of secure systems have resulted in a significant increase for our business concept,” added Shoemaker. “We foresee a continuation of this growth and are responding proactively to win new business.” The company recently added a satellite office in the Raleigh, North Carolina area, with much of the work being handled remotely from the company’s Maryland headquarters.

Peake Technology Partners will occupy space in 5041 Howerton Way, a single-story building containing 34,560 square feet of flex/R&D space. The building has been designed to earn LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), based on its use of sustainable building materials and operating systems that contribute to an eco-friendly environment and conserve energy resources.

St. John Properties has developed more than one million square feet of commercial office, flex/R&D and retail space at Melford Town Center. The mixed-use community contains a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, with plans to add more than 85,000 square feet of retail space and residential units in the future. It is located approximately 18 miles from BWI Airport and 25 miles from downtown Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Nearly 120,000 vehicles pass the mixed-use community via US Route 50 each day.
