BALTIMORE (June 9, 2009) – St. John Properties, Inc. has announced the signing of three new leases at the company’s Maryland Science and Technology Center @ Melford business park, with the cumulative leases totaling nearly 22,000 square feet of space. The 466-acre project in Prince George’s County, MD, situated at the intersection of US Route 50 and MD Route 3/301, will be a 3.2 million square foot mixed-use development upon completion.

Law firm DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis, LLP, which is presently located in Lanham, has signed a lease for 14,055 square feet of space at 17251 Melford Blvd., a two-story, 26,000 square foot office building. Founded in 1993, the firm concentrates in areas including insurance defense and insurance coverage, medical and professional malpractice, Workers Compensation matters, toxic tort and environmental law, business law and commercial litigation and products liability. The company, which also maintains offices on the Eastern Shore and in the Northern Virginia area, is expected to complete its move by late July.

In addition, Critical Information Network has signed a lease for 3968 square feet of space at Melford Plaza I, a four-story, 160,000 square foot Class “A” office building and The Retina Group of Washington has leased 3792 square feet of space at Melford Plaza II, a four-story, 145,000 square foot Class “A” office building. With eight locations throughout the suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia region, The Retina Group is the largest practice in the metropolitan Washington area devoted exclusively to retinal, vitreal and macular diseases.
