St. John Properties and The Arbors at Baltimore Crossroads Schedule Free Community Celebration for Saturday, May 14
BALTIMORE (April 21, 2011) – The Baltimore Crossroads @95 Community Celebration, a free event sponsored by St. John Properties, Inc. and The Arbors at Baltimore Crossroads, is scheduled for Saturday, May 14 from 10 am to 3 pm. Featuring performances by American Idol’s Travis Tucker, as well as entertainment from five Baltimore County public schools, all activities are free to the general public and will be held on the parking lot of the Crossroads Village Center at Baltimore Crossroads @95, located at 720 Concourse Circle, Middle River, MD 21220. The headline act for the Community Celebration is Travis Tucker, an American Idol fourth season finalist who is touring with his seven-piece band, Millennium. Playing a mixture of songs suitable to all ages and musical tastes, they will perform from 11 am to 2 pm. Five Baltimore County-area public schools will provide entertainment during the afternoon as well: Eastern Tech and Patapsco high schools; Golden Ring Middle School; plus Eastwood and Sussex elementary schools.
Children’s activities available throughout the day will include a moon bounce and obstacle course, and free face painters and tattoo artists will be on-site. Exhibitors representing local organizations including the Baltimore County Police Department fire rescue, Maryland Air National Guard, Baltimore County Public School “Parentmobile” and many more will showcase their organizations and provide giveaways.
A number of first-come, first-served free gifts will be distributed, such as Frisbees, 5 in. Red Maple tree seedlings and other items. Box lunches can be purchased from Subway for $2.00 featuring a 6 in. sandwich, chips, cookie or apple and drink. Valued at approximately $8.00, these meals will available while they last. Additional drinks can be purchased for fifty cents.
Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the entertainment, but pets and coolers will not be allowed at the Community Celebration.
The Arbors at Baltimore Crossroads, a project of Somerset Construction Company, is a 365-unit luxury market-rate rental apartment home community contained within the 1,000-acre Baltimore Crossroads @95 mixed-use development.
